Intro

This blog is supposed to be, as much as I can, my daily journey through life as a Christian. I hope it to be my thoughts and feelings on life but be as grounded in the Christian message as it can. My intention is not to create a daily readings or bible study guide but to look at my life in terms of a Christian trying to find and follow God's mission using his Life User's Manuel AKA the Bible.

Matthew 10 19-20

And don't you worry about what you'll say or how you'll say it. The right words will be there; the Spirit of your Father will supply the words. - Matthew 10 19-20

Advent Challenge

This challenge is now complete, please feel free to browse all of the
completed tasks via the Advent Challenge tab.

Ok, regulars who read this blog will know about the Soldiers Challenge that I am doing. Well I wanted to do something with a bit of an Advent/Christmas feel to it and so the Advent Challenge was born. It would be really cool if people wanted to join in with this and post about their progress too so if you feel like joining in go for it.

So the rules, they are pretty simple. The challenge is to do one task a day every day for the 24 days of advent and then one final task on Christmas day itself. You will have on day to complete each task and any task that is not completed rolls over to the next day where you will have two tasks to do. This is supposed to be a fun and enjoyable exercise so do not feel tied into it or pressured to do something you do not want to do. Challenges can be modified to suit you. (Don’t be legalistic about them. The objective is the priority.) Cause no offence in any of the challenges. You can do the challenges in any order.

1.Read the Christmas story
2.Give a gift to someone you wouldn't normally buy for

Check back tomorrow to find out about how I complete this task and which task will be selected for day number two. The way I will be selecting the tasks for this challenge is by people choosing a number from the list above, if you want to choose the next days task leave a comment below with your choice and I will either do the most popular choice or if there is a tie the first comment given. Hope you guys enjoy the first day of December and a Merry Christmas to you all.

  1. On Christmas morning, we take donuts to the fire stations and police departments and say Thank You for giving your time. Pray that God will bless them as they are away from their families on Christmas day. Love your list!

  2. Great List! I already do several of those things every year. I will be walking alongside of you in this challenge but I am going to have to find a different challenge for today as I already bought my Christmas cards. Hmm, maybe since I only spent $6.99 I can round it up to $30 and donate the difference???
