Intro

This blog is supposed to be, as much as I can, my daily journey through life as a Christian. I hope it to be my thoughts and feelings on life but be as grounded in the Christian message as it can. My intention is not to create a daily readings or bible study guide but to look at my life in terms of a Christian trying to find and follow God's mission using his Life User's Manuel AKA the Bible.

Matthew 10 19-20

And don't you worry about what you'll say or how you'll say it. The right words will be there; the Spirit of your Father will supply the words. - Matthew 10 19-20

Labouring in the shadows

Hebrews 6:10 (KJV)
For God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love, which ye have shewed toward his name, in that ye have ministered to the saints, and do minister.

Everyone likes to be appreciated for the work they have done, everyone likes some thanks for a job well done. Even if it is just a pat on the back we all love being told that what we have done has been recognised and our hard work was not in vain.

What this verse is saying though is that it does not matter what appreciation or thanks you get here on Earth in this life because God see's everything we do. Not just that but He will reward us for our works that were unheard and unseen in this life. These acts that no one finds out about are the kind of actions Jesus Himself would have done, because they were needed not because He would gain from the. Let us be like Christ and labour in the shadows of this world.
